Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is an effective way to lighten the shade of your teeth without removing any of the protective enamel from the tooth surface. Although teeth are not naturally supposed to be completely white, teeth whitening can give you a lighter and brighter smile.

The principle of tooth whitening is by using hydrogen peroxide agents of different concentrations to be applied on the surface of the teeth. The chemical reaction of hydrogen peroxide agent (oxidation) will bleach the dull pigments in the dentin.

No tooth preparation is required for teeth whitening – you can simply go to a dental clinic for an in-office teeth whitening session, or you can take home a set of custom-made bleaching trays and home-teeth whitening gels for home teeth whitening.
